One of the prime reasons for backwardness in our society is education. Several government reports also confirm this. What is more surprising is that the poorest of the poor also know this. However, they are helpless. They are stuck in the vicious cycle where they are unable to do anything different and the next generation also lands up in the same cycle. It’s very shameful that a community which follows the Holy Quran and lives on the footstep of the Prophet Mohammad PBUH is now amongst the poorest of the poor in our society. A community which should have been the most educated community in our society is at the bottom of the list. We realise that the root cause of this is lack of financial and career support in the society. Through ALKARAMS, we are trying to address it using the following 2 ways – 1. Raising the awareness of education amongst the students and the parents. Motivating them to get the best of education. 2. Assuring them all the assistance required for the education of their kids We work at the grassroots level, very closely with students and parents and generate confidence within them that they can achieve great heights. Al-Karam Multipurpose & Education Development Society aims to work closely with oppressed & disadvantaged communities and vulnerable individuals. We want to break the centuries old cycle of ignorance and oppression. Al-Karam Multipurpose & Education Development Society aims to do this by improving the literacy rate amongst the same communities. We want to concentrate on the education of these communities; we want to ensure that they have the right monetary and non-monetary guidance to fulfill their dreams by virtue of education. Al-Karam Multipurpose & Education Development Society believes the best way to achieve long term positive social change is through education. We work in the areas where no other education is available to the poor and oppressed. Our mission is to bring educational opportunities to those people whom such opportunities have previously been denied due to poverty or oppression.
